Adventure Education

Adventure Education at University of Saint Joseph is a unique experiential program, which is an integral piece to the signature University of Saint Joseph experience.

Participants in Adventure Education will have opportunities to engage in a wide variety of curricular and co-curricular experiences that encourage leadership development, boost self-confidence, bolster critical thinking and problem solving abilities, promote group cohesion, instill communication and conflict resolution skills, and encourage reasonable risk taking in a fun and safe experiential atmosphere.

Some of these include:

  • First Year Seminar: Together Everyone Achieves More (T.E.A.M) and Physical Education classes
  • Living Learning Communities: Living Experience Adventure Program (L.E.A.P.) and Sophomore Outdoor Adventure Residents (S.O.A.R.)
  • Team building programs for athletic teams, student clubs and organizations, USJ staff and faculty
  • Open adventure trips and programs for students, faculty, staff and alumni
