Courses are delivered as Internet-based lectures, allowing you to fit courses around your work and home schedules and complete programs quickly. Each online course incorporates a threaded discussion that helps you interact with the instructor and fellow students, as well as frequent assessment of the material.

Note: USJ is authorized to offer these programs in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington DC, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. 

The following states are either not authorized or are currently in progress for authorization: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, and Oregon.

Things to Know About Online Learning:

  • Online education can be more work than a regular course
  • Courses are asynchronous, so students do not have to be at the same place at the same time
  • Timelines must be maintained to prevent workload from accumulating
  • You can enter a program at any point
  • You are not required to take every course every semester - participate at a level of progress that is comfortable
  • USJ is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC)
