A Veterans Day Look at VA Benefits

On behalf of the whole Office of Graduate Admissions and Academic Services, we want to start by wishing all United States service members (both past and present) a happy Veterans Day!  We certainly appreciate your service and dedication and as a token of our appreciation, we would like to waive the $50 application fee from any service member that applies to one of our graduate programs this week (November 12-18!)  Please contact graduate@usj.edu if you have any questions.

We tend to get a decent amount of interest from former and active service members because a few of our graduate programs are offered online.  Most come to us with knowledge about their available service-based tuition options; however, this post can assist those students who may not already be aware of their options.

If a service member, their spouse, or a dependent is approved from the Veterans Administration (VA) to receive benefits, the University of Saint Joseph will work directly with the VA to certify enrollment.  The University of Saint Joseph is also a proud participant of the Yellow Ribbon Program which is an educational assistance program to provide tuition grants for military veterans.  More information about Veterans Services at the University of Saint Joseph is available on our website including a checklist for veterans to follow during the application process.  Please note that the VA will only assist in payment of courses that work towards a degree so non-degree seeking students are not eligible for this benefit.
