Friday and Saturday,
SEPTEMBER 21 & 22, 7:30 p.m.
In “Water Wars” Sonia Plumb Dance Company takes a bold look at our relationship with water – through dance, music, and environmental conversations. Experience the flowing beauty and harsh reality of this fragile, powerful natural resource!
This journey — the culmination of a yearlong series of artistic and environmental programs staged in town halls and classrooms across Connecticut — combines passionate dance performances with original music performed live by award-winning composer Cory Gabel
Described as “an aesthetic adventure” by the Hartford Courant, Sonia Plumb Dance Company has thrilled audiences throughout the northeast. Known for her epic style (for staging a full-length dance exploring Homer’s “The Wandering of Odysseus”) and lyrical movement (weaving Robert Frost poetry into the work “Frost and Field”), Sonia Plumb and her Dance Company dive into their latest artistic adventure — “Water Wars.”
