Annual Fall Tailgate Celebration This Weekend
On Saturday, September 22, 2012 the Athletic department will be hosting a Fall Tailgate Celebration for our Athletic Sports families and alumni. We invite you to bring your favorite tailgate food and beverages and enjoy the festivities of the day.
Volleyball will start off competition at 10:00 a.m. vs. Johnson and Wales. They will also play again at 2:00 p.m. versus Norwich University. Tennis will play at 12:00 versus Johnson & Wales and Soccer will play Albertus Magnus at 1:00 p.m.
Other competitions happening outside of the non-traditional seasons will be USJ Softball vs. alumni scrimmage and an alumni game for Soccer, both beginning at 10:30 a.m.
The day is not only for the student-athletes to compete, but for parents, friends, family and alumni to gather, meet, embrace the BLUE JAY SPIRIT and be a part of the Blue Jay Athletic Family. Whether your daughter is competing on September 22 or not, we encourage teams to get involved and join in the day of celebration.
Alumni, don’t forget to stop the Alumni Relations table for a cold drink and a snack, and learn all about how you can get involved with USJ!
There will also be opportunities to win prizes! All Tailgaters will receive a raffle ticket to be entered into a drawing for USJ Gear. Prizes will also be awarded to the best “Tailgates” for the following themes:
- Best Tailgate Food Display
- Most USJ Team spirit
- Team with highest % of parents in attendance
Raffle drawing/Tailgate winners announced approximately @ 2:30 p.m.
