The Capital Classics Shakespeare Festival Presents Twelfth Night
Shakespeare Under the Stars at USJ - Fun for the Whole Family
Capital Classics Theatre Company, in partnership with The Carol Autorino Center at USJ, will launch its 22nd season with Shakespeare’s comedy, Twelfth Night. The production runs for three weekends: July 26 through August 12, 2012. Performances will be held on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 5:30 p.m.
Capital Classics has built a reputation for making Shakespeare accessible to the thousands of fans that turn out each summer with their family and friends—and picnic baskets—to enjoy outdoor “Shakespeare under the stars” at the University of Saint Joseph.
Twelfth Night; or, What You Will is a comedy of mistaken identity, separated twins, deflated ego, and gender-crossing disguise, all to overcome obstacles and find “true” love. Twelfth Night is directed by Kaia Monroe Rarick, a theatre professor at Southern Connecticut State University. The cast includes 13 Connecticut-based professional and student actors.
Pre-show entertainment includes music by the Elizabethan Consort, period dance, a Professors Series, and more. For a full calendar, visit www.capitalclassics.org.
