Connecticut Women Leaders Honor First Woman Superintendent of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy
A luncheon was recently held at the University of Saint Joseph School of Pharmacy in downtown Hartford to honor Rear Admiral Sandra L. Stosz who, as Superintendent of the United States Coast Guard Academy, is the first woman to command any of the nation’s five military service academies. She has served in this position since June of 2011. Pictured left to right are: Connecticut State Senator Andrea L. Stillman who represents residents of the 20th Senatorial District (East Lyme, Montville, New London, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Salem and Waterford); Connecticut Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman; Rear Admiral Sandra L.
