USJ Women LEAD (Lead, Empower, Advance, Discover) in STEAM Group sponsors ‘Worlds of Wonder’ tree at the Wadsworth Atheneum’s Annual Festival of Trees and Traditions

On Friday, December 1, 2017 the University of Saint Joseph Women LEAD (Lead, Empower, Advance, Discover) in STEAM Group; members of the USJ Tri Beta Biological Honor Society, and other faculty and staff donated an entry to the Wadsworth Atheneum’s Annual Festival of Trees and Traditions.

The tree’s theme, “Worlds of Wonder” reflects the art and science of observation. Each snowflake ornament on the tree contains a photo of something living that was discovered by students, faculty, or staff this fall on the USJ West Hartford campus. The images are varied and include photos from the USJ Grassland Area, microscope images of cells and bacteria, and many more items.

This is USJ’s first time participating in the Wadsworth Atheneum’s Annual Festival of Trees and Traditions, which takes place from Dec. 1 – 10, 2017.
