The tragedy in Newtown touches us all in so many ways. We, at USJ, mourn the loss of Rachel D’Avino, a student in our Applied Behavior Analysis graduate certificate program, who was working as a one-on-one educator at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Rachel was remembered by Dr. Deirdre Fitzgerald as someone who was “ was remarkable, energetic, and engaging. She was a leading force in the group. She just sparkled with ideas and potential. Rachel was a stunning young professional. We, and the world, will feel her loss."
