Over the past decade, the University of Saint Joseph has experienced a notable transformation in residential life, signaling stronger student engagement and a deepening sense of campus community. In fall 2014, 317 students lived on campus, filling 79% of available beds. This fall, that number rose to 427 students with a 99% occupancy rate — an all-time high that reflects increased demand and a reinvigorated campus culture.
Key to this momentum was the University’s transition to a coeducational model and the continued growth of its athletics program, both of which have broadened reach and appeal. Another significant milestone came with the addition of University-sponsored, off-campus housing for juniors, seniors, and graduate students at The Millenium in downtown Hartford, expanding USJ’s housing footprint and offering students a living option that connects campus life with city access. Together, these developments represent more than just numbers — they signal a university on the rise, meeting students where they are and building a more dynamic college experience.
