Office of Community Engagement
“The call to serve takes many forms in the life of a compassionate heart.”
– Maryanne Radmacher
The Office of Community Engagement promotes and facilitates service as an integral part of the University’s teaching & learning experiences. A variety of academic and community service opportunities are available to students throughout the year.

Participation in community engagement is one way to live the mission of USJ. Outreach opportunities include but aren’t limited to: working with children or the elderly, tutoring, mentoring, working in a soup kitchen or food pantry, organizing food drives, and meeting the needs of other vulnerable populations.
Our goal is to fully engage students in the USJ experience and create interconnectedness between curricular and co-curricular service-learning opportunities. This allows for the application of classroom learning to further student success in the classroom and after graduation.
