Throughout the nation, Biochemistry is becoming an increasingly popular and effective field of study.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) CATALYST scholarship at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) recognizes students who have a vision for a career in STEM. Open to first-year applicants of biology, chemistry, and biochemistry, ten students will be selected to receive an annual scholarship . This renewable scholarship includes access to early departmental advisement, academic support, mentored-research, coursework in scientific writing, and career networking opportunities.

Major Plan Of Study

The Biochemistry program require 50 credits for major courses, plus 16 credits for supporting courses. A grade of C or better is required for each course.

At University of Saint Joseph, the Biochemistry program is administered by the Department of Chemistry. You will work alongside practicing scientists with terminal degrees in many fields of Chemistry.

This challenging curriculum offers real-world relevance, characterized by a spirit of innovation that prepares graduates for success in a global society.The baccalaureate Biochemistry program is accredited by the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
