Internships and Career Opportunities
The Greater Hartford community is home to numerous distinctive art collections. As an Art History major, you have the opportunity to work at museums including The University of Saint Joseph Art Gallery, Wadsworth Atheneum, New Britain Museum of American Art, Mark Twain House, Wethersfield Historical Society, Noah Webster House, and the CT Historical Society. Potential careers: appraiser, historian, designer, teacher, architect, and more.
In USJ’s program, students can select concentrations in their areas of interest including American, ancient, early Christian, modern art, and develop their own artistic capacities through the studio requirement, which features one-on-one instruction in drawing, painting, printmaking, courses. Students participate in local, site-based educational opportunities, and connect with the local art community to build a successful career.
