A degree in Digital Media and Communication with a concentration in Spanish Communication and Media responds to the constant demand of highly-trained professionals in the media and communication industries to serve bilingual, bicultural, and diverse audiences. The Spanish Communication and Media concentration will maximize the technical/bilingual proficiency of the students enrolled, especially given the recent boom of Spanish networks in Connecticut and nationwide, including ESPN Deportes, Telemundo and Univisión. Students will participate in the media production courses while concentrating in Spanish language, Latino storytelling, Spanish film, and Hispanic culture and literature.
