The University of Saint Joseph offers a 3+4 dual degree program developed between the University of Saint Joseph and the New England College of Optometry [NECO]. This dual degree program results in a B.S. in either Biology or Health Science and a Doctor of Optometry degree. Students who qualify for this program are able to earn their bachelor’s degree at the University of Saint Joseph and then move to the Doctor of Optometry degree program from the New College of Optometry. The first 3 years are completed at USJ and the last four years are completed at NECO. Credits from the first year of the Doctor of Optometry program will be applied back to USJ to complete the B.S. degree.
