Pharmacy, Pharm.D./Public Health, MPH Dual Degree
Prepare for a career in health care by combining your Pharmacy degree with a public health framework
USJ’s dual degree in Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Public Health is designed to prepare pharmacy students to better equip and strengthen the existing public health system where many pharmacy functions will align with essential health services critical to public health.
Pharmacy students will be prepared to apply skills and knowledge in the five traditional core areas (i.e., health services administration, biostatistics, epidemiology, behavioral sciences, and environmental health sciences) and the seven interdisciplinary/cross-cutting areas (e.g., diversity, culture, system thinking, interprofessional leadership, program planning) of public health upon graduation from the Pharm.D./MPH dual degree program.

- Three credit hours double counted for the following course:
- PUBH 501 – Foundations of Public health = PHCY 700, Introduction to Health Care and Population Health.
- Nine credit hours of electives from the Pharm.D. program
