Federal Student Loans
Federal Direct Loans are government funded student loans available to those who complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), and help eligible students cover the cost of higher education.
2023-2024 Interest Rates & Fees*
- Direct Subsidized Loan – Undergraduate students: 5.50%
- Direct Unsubsidized Loan – Undergraduate students: 5.50%
- Direct Unsubsidized Loan – Graduate students: 7.05%
- Current origination fee is 1.057% of the total loan amount

Parent PLUS & Graduate PLUS
A Direct PLUS Loan is made available by the U.S. Department of Education to parents of dependent undergraduate students and graduate or professional students. Borrowers must complete a credit check as part of the application process and not have adverse credit history.

- Direct Graduate PLUS Loan: 8.05%
- Current origination fee is 4.228% of the total loan amount

Alternative Loans
Alternative loans through a private lender help bridge the gap between the actual cost of your education and the amount of financial assistance you receive. These loans are borrower-initiated, which means the student and/or parent must initiate the application with the private lender.
