Below is a breakdown of undergraduate tuition, student fees, room and board, and activity fees.

While the cost varies by program and semester, the University estimates that a full time undergraduate student may spend up to $1,000 a year for books and supplies.

Undergraduate Programs – 2019-2020 Academic Year

  • Full Time Undergraduate (12+ Credits) Fall/Spring

  • Part-Time Students (Matriculated and Non matriculated)- All Programs Fall/Spring
    $625 per credit
    $62 per credit fee
    • $625 per credit plus $62 per credit fee = $687 per credit total charge for undergraduate students enrolled in 1-8.5 credits. Part-time students may be eligible for federal aid but are not eligible for USJ financial aid programs.
    • Students who enroll in 9-11.5 credits will pay the 3/4 tuition rate and may be eligible for federal aid but are not eligible for USJ financial aid programs.

Cohort Programs

  • RN to B.S. in Nursing Program (online)
    $18,000 for 30 credits, plus fees (including fall, spring, summer terms); No USJ/institutional grant or scholarship aid applies.
  • Accelerated Second Degree (ASD) Nursing Program
    $10,942 per semester, plus fees $901 per semester
  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Completion Program
    $15,000 per year, plus fees (including fall, spring, summer terms); $30,000 for the program, plus fees (up to 61 credits). The program begins in the fall or summer semester. No USJ/institutional grant or scholarship aid applies.
  • Psychology Degree Completion Program
    $15,000 per year, plus fees (including fall, spring, summer terms); $30,000 for the program, plus fees (up to 61 credits). The program begins in the fall or summer semester. No USJ/institutional grant or scholarship aid applies.
  • Management Degree Completion Program
    $15,000 per year, plus fees (including fall, spring, summer terms); $30,000 for the program, plus fees (up to 61 credits). The program begins in the fall or summer semester. No USJ/institutional grant or scholarship aid applies.

*Credits needed beyond the 30 for the (RN-BS) program or 61 for other completion programs will be charged at the undergraduate full-time or part-time fee as noted on the fee schedule.

Student Activities Fee

  • Full-Time Undergraduate Students
    $300 per year
    $150 per semester

Health Insurance

All full-time undergraduate, School of Pharmacy and Physician Assistant Studies students will have a charge on their USJ student account for the annual student insurance premium (rates below). Part-time Undergraduate students any Graduate students who living on-campus are also included in this requirement. Students who are currently enrolled in a comparable plan may decline by performing the annual online waiver here. Please be advised that the credit will not post to your account on a real-time basis. However, the earlier you perform the waiver, the earlier a credit will appear on your account. The final waiver deadline will be before the start of the semester. If you do not qualify for or complete a waiver by the deadline, you will be enrolled in the plan.

Those who will be enrolling can find plan materials for the 2019-2020 plan, posted in July, on the Gallagher Student Health website.

IMPORTANT: There has been a carrier change. The new carrier is National Guardian Life; the Preferred Provider Network is Cigna.

NOTE: When you visit the Gallagher Student Health website for the first time you will be asked to create an account. This is entirely separate from your USJ account and you do not need to use any USJ-affiliated passwords or user names.
