As a growing institution that is committed to being a valuable teaching and learning resource for the community, the Art Museum can be used in a multitude of ways. Both students and instructors from all disciplines –history, art history, nursing, psychology, mathematics, education and beyond – can benefit greatly from incorporating the Art Museum into classroom and extracurricular activities.

All faculty from University of Saint Joseph, the Hartford Consortium for Higher Education, and other institutions of higher learning are welcome to use the resources of the Art Museum. We also welcome visits from preK-12 classes. We are eager to help you find appropriate and effective ways to integrate the Art Museum’s collections and exhibitions in your teaching.

If you have a special request that does not fall into any of the categories described below, or if you are unfamiliar with the Art Museum and would like suggestions, please call or email us. We will do our best to meet your request or suggest alternative strategies.

We encourage you to bring your classes, to make assignments involving works of art from the collection, and to suggest other ways we can work together to help students make the most of the Art Museum’s resources.
