Dr. Heba Eassa, Assistant Professor, joins the School of Pharmacy and Physician Assistant Studies in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Dr. Heba Eassa received her B.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt, in 2007, and received her M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2012. She was awarded a pre-doctoral fellowship at Al-Azhar University and received her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2016. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Saint Joseph in 2019. Before joining USJ, she was an assistant professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy (Girls), Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt. Active in teaching, research, and service. Dr. Eassa taught for ten years as an assistant professor/teaching assistant at Al-Azhar University. She is an innovative and professional pharmaceutical formulator with more than ten years of experience in drug formulations, modified, local, and systemic drug delivery. Dr. Eassa’s research at USJ focuses on the treatment of skin cancer through microneedle formulations.
