About

Dr. Ostvik-de Wilde is a certified School Counselor in the state of Connecticut. Prior to joining USJ, she worked as a professional school counselor in elementary and middle schools, and as a supervisor of early career K-12 school counselors.

Publications

Her work is focused within Counselor Education & Supervision. Recent publications and presentations have been on building children and adolescents’ social and emotional competence and counseling group work in schools. She has published and presented in national and regional associations, including, but not limited to the American Counseling Association, North American Region Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, and the Association for Specialists in Group Work.

Research

Her research interests include childhood and adolescent social emotional learning, school-based mental health counseling groups, and school counselor supervision and development.
