Sheila Garilli, Ed.D, RN, CNE, Assistant Professor of Nursing, joined the School of Interdisciplinary Health and Science in the Department of Nursing in 2019. Dr. Garilli received a Doctorate in Education in Nursing Education from Southern Connecticut State University. She also received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of Hartford, where she served as an adjunct faculty member. She received her initial nursing RN and an associate’s degree in science from Naugatuck Valley Community College. She is a registered nurse with a clinical background in the acute care hospital setting, focused on Emergency Nursing. Dr. Garilli is a first-generation college student who is proud of her educational accomplishments.
