USJ Giving Day

I decided to give to USJ because this university has given me the opportunity to succeed in my future. The scholarships that I received as a student helped me financially and allowed me to focus on my goal of obtaining my bachelors degree. I wanted to give back to the current and future students at USJ in hopes that they would take this opportunity to find their passion and pursue a degree, just like I did!

I am very grateful for the education I received at St Joe’s. If I could do it over again, I would pay better attention and be the better for it! Who hasn’t looked back and thought that?? But as the first in my family to be college educated, I assure you that I realize what it has meant to me and to my family. There are several graduate degrees among us: Two of our sons have doctorates, one has a masters, and their children have or are working toward college degrees. Could this have happened without my time at USJ? I am not sure it could have.
