Freshman diver Zachary Nielsen (Berlin, Conn.) of the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) men’s swimming and diving team, was selected as the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) Diver of the Week for week eight of the 2019-2020 season, announced Wednesday by the association. It marks the first NEISDA nod of Nielson’s career.
In his first collegiate performance on the three-meter board, Nielsen finished in sixth place with a score of 137.45. On the one-meter board, he finished sixth with a score of 157.25, half a point behind fifth place.
