The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) Department of Athletics has announced the induction of 26 student-athletes into Chi Alpha Sigma (XAΣ), the National College Athlete Honor Society, which recognizes student-athletes from accredited four-year NCAA, NAIA, or NCCAA institutions who excel in both the classroom and competition. The group joins eight inductees from last year’s inaugural induction class who are still active on Blue Jays’ rosters, bringing USJ’s Chi Alpha Sigma total to 34 student-athletes. The complete list of USJ inductees can be found below.
“We are excited to make the announcement of our second class into the Chi Alpha Sigma National Honor Society,” stated USJ’s Athletic Director Amanda Devitt. “Our gifted student-athletes continue to amaze me with their academic achievements, while simultaneously competing at high levels on the field, court, and in the pool. They have worked incredibly hard in the classroom in an unprecedented year and that hard work has delivered outstanding results. We are extremely proud of this accomplishment and how our student-athletes and staff are committed to academic excellence.”
