USJ PA Graduates Earn 100 percent Pass Rate Five Years in a Row

The University of Saint Joseph Physician Assistant Studies program graduated 44 students in May 2023, all of whom passed on the first attempt at Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE). Board certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required for graduates of PA programs in order to obtain initial licensure in the United States to practice medicine as a PA. Since the program’s inception in January 2017, graduates of our 28-month PA program have consistently ranked above the national pass rate average, with each graduating class earning a 100 percent first-time pass rate five years in a row.

“This result is a testament to the students, the faculty, and staff who never wavered from their commitment to excellence and the practice of medicine. We are confident that our graduates will do great things as they join the health care workforce,” says Tricia Marriott, PA-C, MPAS, MJ Health Law, CHC, DFAAPA, Director & Chair, PA Studies Program, School of Pharmacy and PA Studies.
