Gifts to USJ are grouped into one of three distinct areas
Annual Fund gifts
Gifts that are unrestricted in their use and will be spent by the University in the fiscal year they are received. Most of the Annual Fund is committed to student financial assistance.
Gifts that the donor has restricted to a particular purpose or area and that will not necessarily be spent in the fiscal year in which it was received. Examples include: a gift for a specified academic department or an existing scholarship fund.
Gifts that are invested with the University’s endowment. Earnings are used to fund endowed scholarships that will support students in perpetuity.
