The Nursing Career Fair took place on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017. Health care and medical companies in attendance included: Bristol Hospital and Healthcare Group, Community Health Resources (CHR), Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Hartford Hospital, Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Seabury, Travelers, and Yale-New Haven Hospital.
“The Nursing Career Fair is a great opportunity for all USJ Nursing students to meet and speak with area nurse recruiters from the Hartford region. Senior students will learn of graduate nurse internships and employment opportunities as they begin to apply for nursing positions, while other undergraduate students will hear about a host of patient care positions and volunteer opportunities,” said Valerie Wilson, M.Ed., assistant director of Employer Relations.
USJ’s department of Nursing provides three undergraduate programs including a B.S. in Nursing, Accelerated Second Degree, and an R.N. to B.S.N. program. With a dynamic faculty, state-of-the art technology, and hands on experience, students receive a well-rounded education before entering their field.
