The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) has announced two new faculty appointments at the start of the 2026-2027 school year.
Suzy Wise, Ph.D., LCPC (IL), NCC has joined USJ as an associate professor of Counseling. She received her B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. from The George Washington University, and her Ph.D. from Northern Illinois University.
Prior to joining USJ, Wise served as a core faculty member in the CACREP-accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program in the department of Psychological Sciences and Counseling at Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana.
Kylie Ackerman, MSN-Ed, MSN-I, RN, has joined USJ as assistant professor of Nursing. She received her B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, her MSN-I and MSN-ED from Excelsior University, and will receive her Nursing Education Ed.D. from Southern Connecticut State University in 2027.
Prior to joining USJ, she was a full-time member of the nursing faculty at Excelsior University.
“The new faculty bring a wealth of experience both academically and clinically to the Counseling and Nursing programs at USJ,” said Provost Michelle Kalis. “We are thrilled to welcome these accomplished educators to the USJ community.”
