Faculty and students from USJ Pharmacy Program, along with colleagues from UCONN’s Pharmacy Program and the Connecticut Pharmacists Association participated in Pharmacy Day at the Capitol. The annual event is a way for pharmacists and pharmacy students from all practice setting to draw the attention of our legislature to the critical role pharmacists play in Connecticut healthcare and to help advance the profession.
Our faculty and students met with state legislators to discuss current issues relating to pharmacy and health care. We also showcased some of the advanced patient care services pharmacists provide throughout our community by offering a blood pressure monitoring station during the event.
