The University of Saint Joseph’s Women’s Leadership Development Center (WLDC) held its inaugural event, Working to Elevate Women to the C-Suite, on Oct. 20, 2016.
The opportunity to learn beside peers brought more than 170 attendees to the Hoffman Auditorium in USJ’s Bruyette Athenaeum. The evening began with opening remarks from USJ’s president, Rhona Free, Ph.D., and an online survey for the Center’s research, led by Provost Michelle Kalis, Ph.D.
Panelists included Sheila Hartnett ’74, Chairman/CEO of Geometry Global; Patti LaMonica, Executive Director of Emergency Medicine and Pre-hospital Service Line; Madelyn Lankton, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Enterprise Operations and eBusiness, Travelers; and JoAnn Price, Co-founder/Managing Partner, Fairview Capital. Moderated by Co-Founder and Senior Director of Future 5, Nancy Roath ’72, the panel shared their expertise and took questions from the audience.
The program concluded with a final online survey and closing remarks from Marty Gervasi ’83, Chief Human Resource Officer at The Hartford. Following the event, attendees took part in a lively networking reception sponsored by Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
