A GLOBAL INSTRUCTOR
Mohamed Ismail Nounou, B.Pharm., M.PSc., Ph.D., assistant professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, discovered his interest for Pharmaceutical Science during his time at home in Egypt at Alexandria University. After completing his undergraduate and graduate work in the field, he went on to earn his doctorate degree from the University of Houston before teaching globally in Egypt, Italy, and the United States. Throughout his travels, Nounou has inspired students with his love for the field. Pharmaceutics is a special, magical, and marvelous field, he stated. It unleashes creativity in the students, making them a jack of all trades.
THE BEAUTY OF THE FIELD
When students enter Nounous classroom, they are met with an unparalleled enthusiasm for their studies. Through the course material and professional insights, he helps students build a strong foundation of knowledge that prepares them to meet the demands of a meaningful and vital career. Pharmaceutics is the applied science that gathers knowledge from all of the basic sciences medicine, engineering, chemistry to create a safe, efficient, consistent, reproducible, and reliable product that all consumers trust on a daily basis, Nounou explained. We are the safety valve in the medical field.
A RESEARCHER AND MENTOR
With a strong focus on research over the course of his career, Nounou has added valuable contributions to the field outside the classroom as well. In addition to his own work, he mentors students, helping them develop their research projects from establishing research objectives to achieving the projects conclusion. Being a pharmacist myself, along with holding a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, helped me create a practical applied platform for my students with respect to their research projects, Nounou remarked. The magical part of our research is the teamwork spirit all of us working together to create the future.
