Community Assistance Team
The Community Assistance Team (CAT) is a group of staff and faculty from across the University who meet on a regular basis during the academic year, and ad-hoc during University break periods. This group promotes the well-being and safety of all members of the campus community through identification, assessment, intervention, and management of students who exhibit concerning, disruptive, or potentially harmful behavior to self or others. The purpose of CAT is to assess reports and then provide support and resources through various methods of outreach.
Tell Somebody Reports (TSR)
CAT reviews all submitted Tell Somebody Reports (TSR) upon submission to assess risk and determine next steps. Any member of the USJ community may submit a TSR to share a concern that they have regarding a USJ student, staff or faculty member. This includes, but is not limited to, concerns about academic success, mental health, physical health, or interpersonal relationships. Reports have the option to be submitted anonymously.
