You must wear your full academic attire for Commencement (cap, tassel, gown and hood). Tickets are required for the ceremony and there is a limit of two guests per graduate for undergraduate ceremonies and no guests for graduate ceremonies. This limit is subject to change based upon guidelines from the State of Connecticut.  Seating is not reserved and is available on a first-come, first-served basis, your guests will need to sit together and maintain social distancing from other guests.  Masks will be required for all attendees. Detailed instructions regarding the processional will be emailed to you.

All students MUST RSVP to attend the Commencement ceremony.  Your RSVP will ensure a reader name card is created for you and enough student seating is planned.  Thank you very much for your anticipated assistance. Your student RSVP can be made by ordering a student ticket from Eventbrite. Please check your USJ email for the Eventbrite RSVP link specific to your commencement ceremony.

Accessibility Services:  Students in need of Accessibility Services for commencement should contact Jennifer Boylan, Student Accessibility Coordinator by phone at (860) 231-5481 or email: [email protected]

COVID-19 Policies & Guidelines:

All students must follow current COVID-19 guidelines.  A mask must be worn at all times and maintain 6 feet of social distancing from others.

As we have all learned during the pandemic, things can change with very little notice and we cannot control how and when the State changes guidelines and if that happens we will need to adjust accordingly.
