The University of Saint Joseph welcomes three new members to its Board of Trustees as of July 1: Paul Mounds ’15, Katherine V. Muscatello, and Katie Riccobon ’98, M’01.
Paul Mounds ’15
Paul Mounds, who earned a B.S. in Management from the University of Saint Joseph, has more than 30 years of experience working for the State of Connecticut. He retired as associate director of finance at Connecticut State Community College Manchester, formerly Manchester Community College. He has served on the boards of Real Art Ways and the Manchester Community College Foundation, and on the East Hartford Youth Advisory Board. He was a member of the USJ’s Coeducation Task Force in 2017 and has been a USJ Ambassador since 2023.
Katherine “Katie” V. Muscatello, MBA
Katie Muscatello has spent more than 25 years working in operations and quality systems leadership and management. She has been a quality systems manager/compliance with Raytheon Technologies since August 2004. Prior to joining Raytheon, she was quality manager/program chair at Reflexite Corporation from 2000 to 2003, and was a Lean/Sigma instructor and coach at the Capra Group from 1999 to 2000. She served as a CQC board member at the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT) from 2001 to 2010. Muscatello has a BSIE in engineering from the University of Rhode Island and an MBA from the University of Hartford. She is the parent of a 2023 USJ graduate and has been a USJ Ambassador since 2023.
Katie Riccobon ’98, M’02
Katie Riccobon is director of risk management, director of aquatics, and swimming head coach at Miss Porter’s School in Farmington, where she has worked since 2011. In 2007, she founded WHAT (West Hartford Aquatic Team) Swimming, which was the 2019 and 2020 Bronze Medal USA Swimming Team. While an undergraduate student at then-Saint Joseph College, she was a member of the swim team from 1994 to 1998, during which time she was named Most Valuable Swimmer and Greater Northeast Athletic Conference Swimming Championship Finalist and placed in the top 24 at the New England Swimming Championships four years in a row. She was a teacher at the Gengras Center from 1998 to 2001, and earned a graduate degree at USJ in 2002. From 2008 to 2010 she was USJ’s Blue & Gold Swim School Coordinator. In addition to being a USJ Ambassador, she has served as a non-Trustee member of the Enrollment Management and Student & Campus Life Committee for 15 years.
