Dr. Dayne Laskey, Pharm.D., DABAT, professor of Pharmacy Practice and Administration at the University of Saint Joseph, has been named one of the Hartford Business Journal’s 2026 40 Under Forty honorees, recognizing him among Connecticut’s next generation of leaders helping shape the state’s future.
Acknowledged by the Hartford Business Journal during this 30th year of the 40 Under Forty program, Laskey and his fellow honorees were selected from hundreds of nominations by an independent panel of judges.
Laskey was lauded by the Hartford Business Journal for work at USJ and as a clinical toxicologist at Hartford Hospital, as well as his entrepreneurial work as co-founder of Tox Brewery in New London, Connecticut. The craft brewery, which he has grown into a popular taproom, coffee, kitchen and event destination, draws inspiration from Laskey’s background in toxicology and his fascination with poisons, antidotes, and the healing power of plants.
I’m very grateful to be included in the 40 under Forty, but any honor like this reflects the people around you. I’ve been lucky to spend my career around talented colleagues and students who challenged me to keep growing, and they deserve just as much of the credit.

Laskey and the rest of the 40 Under Forty class will be celebrated on Sept. 17 at the Aqua Turf Club in the Plantsville section of Southington.
